Clark County Center for Community Health
The new Clark County Center for Community Health is a four-story, 176,000 square foot facility that houses a partnership of health and social service agencies. To meet the dual requirements of high seismic resistance at the least possible cost, KGA utilized a moment-resisting steel frame. The advantage of these systems is that they offer high stiffness while maintaining excellent post elastic behavior during an earthquake. Frames were strategically located to maximize redundancy while mimimizing drifts.
