Prune Hill Elementary

Prune Hill Elementary is a 58,000-square foot, two-story facility designed to accommodate 550 students. The steel frame design included curved bar joists to accommodate the curvilinear rooflines. The exterior, clad with a metal siding exterior skin and brick veneer, offered interesting challenges. Two educational wings house 22 classrooms and converge into a central media center. The facility also includes a large computer lab, music room, gym and cafeteria.
