The 7-story Vancouver Hilton & Conference Center utilizes post-tensioned concrete floor slabs and slender concrete walls to resist wind and seismic forces. Structural steel was used for the long spans framing the conference areas and a steel roof was integrated with the concrete to minimize impact to the interior space and to minimize construction costs.
