Challenge: The building’s concrete walls were perforated with windows resulting in significantly reduced wall strength. The challenge was to find ways to strengthen the walls without detracting from the building's fenestration.
Solution: Performance-based analysis was used to simulate various loads and stresses to determine the minimum number of windows. Resulting voids were filled by an epoxy fiber coating.
